happiness.

By Venty Indah Utami

I always believe that happiness is a decision, not a result.

"There is no path to happiness, happiness is the path." - Gautama Buddha

Sometimes people just see too faraway to find their own happiness, with not knowing that basically you can find the happiness anywhere, depends on how you see things. I've ever heard before, it's not a thing that changes, but the way that you see it does. If you see things differently, then you will see it in a different way. Oftenly, finding meanings is not about doing it differently, but about seeing familiar things in a new way.

It is not a difficult thing to make yourself happy. If you are starving, find something -no matter it is delicious or not, it will be just a simple happiness. When you are tired to death, then find yourself resting in a comfortable bed will be a great pleasure. If you make a mistake, being forgiven will be a true happiness.

We just like to complicate things when it is quite simple.

Happiness is a decision, not a result. You've got yourself a new cloth then you're happy? Maybe. You've got a new car then you're happy? Not a certainty.
It is not a thing that makes you happy, but your way of thinking of things.
Having a new cloth or car doesn't guarantee that you will be happy. Your action of appreciating it that counts.
We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we have.

Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions. - Dalai Lama

Happiness is not out there, it is in you.
You determine your own happiness.
You yourself decide to be or not to be. To be happy or not. Sometimes you just blame other people for making you unhappy, but obviously you've got yourself a place to make you unhappy.
Nobody is in charge of your happiness, except you.

Happiness is not trying or finding, it's deciding. - Unknown

Just decide to be happy.
Solve your problem. Appreciate what you have. Let go what makes you sad. Keep what makes you happy. Do what you want. No expectations. Take chances. Live your life to the fullest. Learn to every mistake, not regret it. Forgive other people's mistakes. Move on.
Sometimes being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect, it means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.
And the most important, love yourself.
